About Rasmus Nyvall
I am a saxophonist, clarinet player, and composer born in Bäckhammar, Värmland, Sweden in 1987, I have a passion for jazz music that has driven me to continuously improve and explore new sounds and styles.
Before studying at the Academy in Malmö, I attended Lunnevads Folkhögskola, where I had the opportunity to develop my skills and deepen my love for jazz music. Through the years, I have been honored to collaborate with numerous bands and contribute to over a dozen albums. While my
discography showcases my diverse musical abilities, I see it as a representation of my ongoing journey as a musician.
In addition to my musical pursuits, I am also passionate about giving back to the local music community. I am proud to serve on the board of
Havtorn Records, a record label that supports up-and-coming artists, and I was part of starting the
Bullret Jazzclub in 2014. This club provides a platform for local musicians to share their talents and connect with fans. I also work with the
Malmö Jazzmanifest, an annual jazz festival in Malmö, Sweden, and I am committed to promoting the arts and creating opportunities for local musicians.
I approach my music with a deep appreciation for jazz and its ability to express emotions and tell stories. As a saxophonist and clarinet player, I strive to bring my own unique voice to the genre and create music that connects with audiences in a meaningful way.
I hope you will take the time to explore my website and learn more about me, my music, and my vision for the future. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my passion for jazz with you and I look forward to connecting with you soon.
